Boracay Adventures
Boracay Activities on the Island are numerous and
diverse. The sugary sand lined the shores of Boracay is its best attraction to
while away the endless sunny days. Although Boracay is a small Island, it offers big adventure from its
powdery soft white beaches to its lush green jungle like interior. Activities range
from enjoying doing nothing and just basking in
the sunshine or watching in awe as the breath-taking sunsets unfold. Although Boracay beach activities are the
pinnacle of Boracay experience, Boracay also offers an array of unique Boracay
attractions that will allow you and your family experienced a great holiday!
Windsurfing
You can't imagine the feeling of
elation that everyone experiences after their first day sailing on Boracay. The
bay is stunning. Surrounded by dense palm trees, the water is turquoise, warm,
flat, and chest deep across the entire bay. Only a handful of other windsurfers
will be sharing this slalom blaster's heaven with you. As you near the fringing
reef, chop appears, and if you really want to, you can pick your way through
the reef to the waves on the outside (not for the faint hearted).
The wind blows cross-on shore,
giving two mile long reaches inside the bay. Lighter in the mornings and
evenings, the wind really blows from late morning through until late afternoon.
Beginners and improvers can use each end of the day to practice in ideal
conditions. Windsurfers on the island come from a great diversity of countries
– you could be sailing with a Filipino, Korean, Swiss, Australian and
Brit, all in the same day. The kit is ready rigged and waiting, just 5 meters
from the water.

Sailing
in Boracay
No visit to beautiful Boracay
Island would be complete without exploring the island on a native 'paraw'
(outrigger sailing boat). These unique boats have been part of the island's
scenery for generations, though only in recent years have they been used for
sightseeing trips. Boracay paraw sailing is one of the island's most popular
pursuits, and a great way to explore the many beaches and snorkel sites around
Boracay.
Paraws are
single hulled outrigger boats (not catamarans, as they are sometimes misnamed)
constructed from wood and bamboo, and are sturdy and versatile little vessels,
ideal for the conditions around the island. These boats are usually manned by two crew -
a skipper/captain and a balancer. Depending on the conditions, up to 6
customers can ride, and there is no minimum number of guests per trip.

Parasailing
in Boracay
No one can
argue with the limitless number of diverse activities that you can do and enjoy
in the island of Boracay, one of the top destination in the Philippines for
both local and international tourists. Just take a long walk along its
shoreline and you will meet many people carrying menu-like laminated cards
offering different activities from snorkeling to parasailing.
Flying in
the air above clear waters of Boracay is one of the activities that you must
try and experience if you want to splurge and indulge in the island.
Parasailing in Boracay like other parasailing offered in resorts uses a special
type of parachute where passengers from two-three are pulled by a motorboat up
in the air.
The thrill
and excitement definitely awaits you when you engage in Boracay parasailing. You can view the coastline and waters of
Boracay up above and with the gentle breeze kissing your body. But one thing
that you must consider is the price- and to be honest, it is frankly more
expensive than other activities in the island.
The rates
depend on the season, from 3k to 1,500 pesos per pax. Don’t be scared to bring
out your warmest smile and haggle with the staff. You can save more if you try
parasailing in Boracay during low season when all rates would drop up to 50%.
Speedboats
& Jet skis
Can be rented at various places around the island. The
Speedboats come with a guide who will drive the boat, or once you are out at
sea, let you drive. Jet Skis are also available. They are parked out on
floating rafts away from the crowds. A boat will ferry you out to the raft, Jet Skis are most fun when you have a
few friends also out with you. Ride responsibly!
