SM Mall of Asia
The SM Mall of Asia is the largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the 3rd largest shopping mall in the world The named SM Mall of Asia or MOA as the locals call it, has captured the imagination not just of Filipinos but also tourists from around the world. The sheer size and uniqueness of it is enough to draw day tripper’s curiosity. It has 600 shops, 150 restaurants, 8,000 parking spaces and an Olympic size skating rink which is described as the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Two elevated walkway from the second level of the mall that extend across an avenue towards the Manila bay. The result is a clear and wide ranging view of the most spectacular sunset in the world. Regular Operating Hours: 10am to 10 pm How to get there: You can get to Mall of Asia or MOA via taxi, bus or jeepney. If you get confused or lost, mention the word ‘MOA’ or ‘Mall Of Asia’ and most drivers will understand where you want to go.
- From the Airport – We suggest a taxi. Estimated time of arrival is 15 to 30 minutes ( it change during traffic hours)
- Any Manila Hotel – Most Manila hotels have special shuttle services going to MOA.
- From Makati Central Business District – By Taxi – ETA from Makati is 30 minutes to an hour. By Bus – Hop on any bus heading South on Edsa displaying ‘MOA’ or ‘Mall of Asia’ and you will get there within an hour to an hour and a half.
SM Mega Mall
SM Mega Mall to date is the 5th largest shopping center in the world.
This huge mall, located in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City, has two buildings connected by a bridge. The mall paved the way for Filipinos to enjoy the malling experience when it boomed in the early 90′s. Strategically situated at the heart of the (Ortigas Center) central business district having accessibility & location and complete-ness as our main strengths. Currently, it has an area of around 350K sqm., parking facilities for 3,500 vehicles and a total tenant count of about 900 after the completion and recent opening of the Mega Atrium, the newest and latest expansion wing addition. The tenant mix ranges from casual dining, fast food, fashion apparel, I.T. / electronics, clinics, fitness centers, services, spas/wellness and a grand chapel which hosts 2000 – 2500 people at a time for every religious service. Megamall has grown, evolved & expanded for the past 18 years and will continue to do so in the next years to come. Mall Hours 10:00am – 9:00pm (Monday to Thursday, Sunday) 10:00am – 10:00pm (Friday & Saturday) How to get there: From the north: Option 1. You can ride a bus passing through EDSA (Crossing-Ibabaw) going to Ayala or Baclaran and go down in Ortigas. Make sure that you go down on the designated spot (there is a footbridge to cross EDSA). Option 2. You can also take the MRT and get down at Ortigas Station and walk a bit until you get to Megamall (this will only take less than 10 minutes). If ever you miss Ortigas Station, don’t worry as Shaw Blvd Station is also close to SM Megamall, you can get down in that station or use the crossing platform to ride the northbound line (only Shaw, Cubao, Taft, Ayala, and Buendia) has options to cross platforms without repaying). From the south: Option 1. You can ride a bus passing through EDSA (Crossing-Ibabaw) going to Monumento or Fairview and go down in Ortigas. Option 2. You can also take the MRT and get down at Ortigas Station and walk a bit until you get to Megamall (this will only take less than 10 minutes). If you are somewhere around Tiendesitas (on the east side) or Greenhills (on the west side), there are jeepneys and buses that do pass by SM Megamall, just try to ask around for the nearest jeepney or bus stop. If you are in the Ortigas area, it is advisable to walk because it is healthier and Megamall is just around the corner. For private vehicles: SM Megamall is just along the northbound side of EDSA between Ortigas Avenue and Shaw Blvd. The area is already traffic-heavy during normal days (but lighter on weekends) and expect bumper-to-bumper heavy traffic during Christmas season. Parking is available on both buildings of Megamall as well as the adjacent St. Francis parking lot.
SM City North Edsa
SM City North Edsa is one of Philippines‘ largest mall and the 9th largest in the world.
.It is located at the intersection of North Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Quezon City, approximately a kilometer west of Quezon City Hall and 10 kilometers north of Makati City. The mall attracts a daily foot traffic of over 500,000 people during weekends and more than 300,000 visitors on weekdays.It features SM Department Store, its major anchor, and SM Super-market, a Hypermarket, a Savemore Supermarket, a food court, a Sky Garden, an Amphitheater an entertainment stage for events with more than 1200 seats, a 12-cinema complex, a Hypermarket, and over 800 shops. It offers more than 4,000 parking slots and valet services on 3 strategic locations. SM City will move to 3rd in the world after the expansion.
