Alona Beach is the most popular beach in Bohol for simple reason of being a gorgeous beach with its sparkling white sand, crystal clear waters and a perfect diving site. Alona Beach is the most developed beach on Panglao Island. If you walk at the whole stretch of Alona beach you’ll come across some rocky cliffs on both ends of the beach This tropical bliss is located on the outlying island of Panglao connected by two bridges with the main island of Bohol.

Getting There

It’s about a 20 km or 15 Minutes Taxi ride to Alona Beach from From the pier or airport in Tagbilaran If you don’t have a pickup service from your hotel, take a Meter Taxi or, if you don’t have too much luggage one if the motor caps that wait near the exit of the pier or at the airport. Fares should be negotiated in advance: 150 – 250 peso’s for Motor cab or maximum 500 pesos for taxi’s.

Bolod Beach is located at barangay Bolod and situated on the southside of the island, about two and a half kilometers east of Alona Beach. The beach has a one and a half kilometer stretch of white sand, the largest shoreline in the area.

Doljo Beach lies on the northwest side of the island and at its very tip. The beach is three kilometers wide and it is not so much explored and developed yet It has clean blue water which is an ideal spot for scuba diving where divers can find undisturbed coral reefs abundant with many colorful fishes and many beautiful sea shells.

Momo Beach is situated on the north side of Panglao Island, specifically in the Barangay of Tangnan of Panglao town. with shallow water and blessed with white sand and cool crystal blue waters. Locals frequent this beach and less foreigners. Momo beach is nearer to Doljo beach than to Alona Beach.

Danao Beach is located at Barangay Danao, Panglao, Panglao Island, Bohol. Like Alona, its nearest neighbour, it boasts of fine white sand, cool azure waters, teeming aquatic life and is also home to some famous dive spots.

Bikini Beach is located in Dauis, about eight kilometers from Tagbilaran, This beach is an ideal place for people who are fond of picnics. Favorite place of the locals because of of its calm waters, shady palm trees and the water is full of colorful coral fishes.

Bagobo Beach s located at Barangay Libaong, Panglao, Panglao Island. It is a beach with very fine white sand and fringed by tall coconut palm trees and other tropical varieties. The water is crystal clear and reveals an underwater world of such beauty that made divers and snorkelers come back from time to time bringing in their friends and acquaintances.

Bingag Beach is located in Barangay Bingag, Dauis, Panglao Island, Bohol. It lies on the southern part of the island where several resorts line up on the beach offering various water activities such as jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, rowing and more. It is a perfect getaway from the hustle of city life with its fine white sand, crystal blue waters and a warm tropical climate.

Dao Beach is located in Barangay Dao in Dauis town at Panglao Island which is a 20-minute drive from Tagbilaran City. The beach boasts of white sand, crystal blue water and rugged cliff-sides covered in verdant tropical foliage.

Other Bohol Beaches

Kaingit Beach is also in Tagbilaran City and is situated in a cove which provides calm water even during stormy weather. It was developed by the city government of Tagbilaran and also maintained by them. A popular beach resort and crowded with bathers during weekends .

Anda Beach in Anda is 101 km from Tagbilaran City. The white sand beach is clean and the waters unpolluted.

Duero Beach is situated 77 km from Tagbilaran City and is in the eastern part of Bohol. It is also a white sand beach which is shaded by palm and coconut trees.

Santa Fe Beach, this beach is located near the Poblacion of Albuquerque which is also 13 km from Tagbilaran City. It has white sand also and is fronting the open sea of Mindanao.

Laya Beach is located in Baclayon and is about 9 km from Tagbilaran City, is shaded by tall coconut trees. It is ideal for picnics and the rest houses are available at a minimum cost.
